Note: The door on a microwave oven is designed to

act as an electronic seal preventing the leakage

of microwave energy from oven cavity during

cook cycle. This function does not require that

door be air-tight, moisture (condensation)-tight

or light-tight. Therefore, occasional appearance

of moisture, light or sensing of gentle warm air

movement around oven door is not abnormal

and do not of themselves indicate a leakage of

microwave energy from oven cavity.

. Disconnect the power supply cord and remove the oven

from wall and remove outer case. (Refer to procedure

of "Removal of Oven from Wall" and "Outer case

Removal")

2. Open the door and block it open.

3. Discharge high voltage capacitor.

4. Remove the hood exhaust louver from the oven cavity

by pushing the right and left tabs of the hood exhaust

louver. (Refer to the procedure of "HOOD EXHAUST

LOUVER REMOVAL".)

5. Remove door assembly, refer to "Door Replacement".

Replacement of door components are as follows:

6. Place door assembly on a soft cloth with latches facing

up.

Note:

As the engaging part of choke cover and door frame

are provided at 5 places, do not force any particular

part.

CHOKE COVER

7. Insert a putty knife (thickness of about 0.5mm) into the

gap A between the choke cover and door stopper and

between the choke cover and the door frame as shown

Figure C-3 to free engaging parts.

8. Pry the choke cover by inserting a putty knife in order

shown in Figure C-3.

9. Now choke cover is free from door panel and door

frame.

DOOR FRAME

0. Remove six (6) screws holding the door panel and the

door handle to the door frame assembly.

. Release the door frame assembly from the door panel.

NOTE: It is easier to release the engaging parts of the upper

or lower door hinge pin side at first.

2. Now, door frame assembly is free.

DOOR DISASSEMBLY

LATCH SPRING, LATCH HEAD AND DOOR PANEL

3. Release the latch spring from the tab of the latch head

and tab of the door frame.

4. Release the latch head from the door frame.

5. Now, the latch spring, latch head and door frame are

free.

Choke Cover

DOOR GLASS

6. Remove the glass stopper from the door frame by

releasing the tab of door frame.

7. At first, slide the door glass toward the glass stopper

side, and then slide it up. And release it from the right

and lower long tabs of the door frame.

8. Release the door glass from the upper long tab of the

door frame.

9. Release the door glass from the long tabs of the door

frame.

20. Now, the door glass is free.
