Ventilation Methods Hot Air Exhaust

1. Direct exhaust mode vertical:

For this venting method, hot air rising from the conventional range below is drawn in by the range hood

fan motor through the vent grille and grease ﬁlters up through the right and left sides of the blower

motor, then discharged vertically at rear center top of the range hood into the customer's vent system.

2. Direct exhaust mode horizontal:

The air handing is the same as Vertical Venting except that ﬁnal air discharge is directed horizontally

out from the top rear of range hood into the customer's vent system.

3. Recirculation Kit:

The air handing is the same as Vertical Venting except that ﬁnal air discharge is directed back into the

room via the recirculation kit vent system (FHWRKT30RS/FHWRKT36RS). In this case, the range hood

accessory charcoal Filter 316495183 must be provided to filter the air before it leaves the recirculation

kit vent system.
