Explanation of the Symbols and Signal Words
Danger symbols: This symbol indicates dangers of
injury. Read through the associated safety instruc-
tions carefully and follow them.

Intended Use
•
The product is intended to be used for chopping up fruit and
vegetables. It is not suitable for frozen fruit and vegetables.
•
The collecting container and all accessories are not suitable
for use in the microwave, the oven or the freezer compartment!
•
The product is for personal domestic use only and is not in-
tended for commercial applications.
•
The product should only be used as described in these instruc-
tions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
Safety Instructions
WARNING – Danger of Injury
■
Danger of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from
the packaging material.
■
The product is not designed to be used by individuals (includ-
ing children) with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities
or those without suffi cient experience and/or knowledge, unless
they are supervised by someone responsible for their safety or
have received instructions from them on how to use the product.
■
Children must be supervised in order to ensure that they do not
play with the product.
Danger of cut injuries!
■
Be careful when inserting and removing the cutting inserts.
■
The blades are sharp! Only slice food by pressing down
the cover! Do not attempt to push food through the cutting
inserts by hand.
■
There may still be some production residues on the product.
To avoid harmful effects to your health, thoroughly clean the
product before you use it for the fi rst time.
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property

Always place the product on a level, stable and non-slip sur-
face.
■
Make sure prior to each use that the product is correctly as-
sembled, is not damaged and is in good working order. If the
product is damaged, do not use it.
■
Use only the accessories supplied, or accessories expressly
recommended by the manufacturer.
■
Protect the product from heat, naked fl ames, sub-zero tem-
peratures, direct sunlight, persistent moisture and collisions.
■
Clean the product and all accessories immediately after use to
prevent germ formation.
■
Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean
the product. These may cause damage to the product.

Assembly
1. Attach the cutting insert you want at the top (for spirals or
julienne strips) or bottom (for slices or sticks / cubes) on the
catch container:
– Insert the cutting insert so that the locking lugs sit in the
recesses which are provided for them,
– and twist clockwise to secure.
2. With the cutting inserts for spirals and julienne strips, plug the
base onto the bottom of the catch container.
Use
•
Remove stalks, peels or cores etc. Cut fruit / vegetables into
halves or quarters if necessary.
•
For slices / julienne strips press the prepared fruit or vegeta-
bles onto the cutting insert, skewer on with the fi nger guard
and twist clockwise. The fruit or vegetables will drop into the
catch container.
•
For slices / sticks / cubes place the prepared fruit / vegeta-
bles onto a chopping board and press the container swiftly
and fi rmly down onto the fruit / vegetables. If they are not cut
through at the fi rst attempt, pull the container up a little and try
to press it down again. The fruit / vegetables are collected in
the catch container.
Cleaning
•
Use the cleaning stamp to remove food residues from the cut-
ting inserts for slices and sticks / cubes.
•
Clean all parts with hot water and mild detergent or in the dish-
washer.
•
To make them easier to store, the small cutting inserts and the
cleaning stamp can be placed in the catch container and the
two large cutting inserts can be stacked above one another.
Disposal
Dispose of the packaging material and the product in an
environmentally friendly manner and take them to a recy-
cling centre.
