Telephone Line Connection

The PC5928 has 4 terminals for the telephone line connection (TIP, RING, T1 and R1). The

wiring must be as follows:

• Incoming line - PC5010 TIP and RING

• PC5010 T1 and R1 - PC5928 TIP and RING

• PC5928 T1 and R1 - house phone

If there is an Escort5580 connected as well, it must be connected between the

PC5010 and PC5928 (phone line).

The PC5928 will function properly as soon as all wiring is complete and power is applied.

However, in order to fully supervise the PC5928 from the PC5010 panel, the following steps

must be taken.

Step 1 - At a keypad enter [ ] [8] [Installer Code] to enter Installer Programming.

Step 2 - Press [902] to enable supervision. The panel will automatically search for all

modules on the system. Press [#] to exit Installer Programming. The search takes

approximately 1 minute. From this point on, if any modules are removed from the

system, a Supervisory trouble will be generated.

Step 3 - To confirm the supervision, re-enter Installer Programming and then enter [903]. On

LED keypads, Light 21 ON represents successful PC5928 supervision. On LCD

keypads, the description PC5928 will be displayed if successful.

Step 4 - If this is not successful, check all wiring to the PC5928.
