Danger sign: This symbol indicates risk of physical in-

jury. Read the associated safety instructions carefully,

and comply with them.

Intended Use

•

The solar lamps are attached to a roof gutter in order to illumi-

nate the area around the house. The storage battery charge

during the daytime via the solar panel. The accumulated en-

ergy allows the LEDs to illuminate at night.

•

The product is designed for personal use only and is not in-

tended for commercial applications.

•

The product should only be used as described in these instruc-

tions. Any other use is deemed to be improper. Store the in-

structions in a safe place.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

■

Danger of Suﬀ ocation! Keep children and animals away from

the packaging material.

■

The product is not a toy. Do not leave children and animals

unsupervised with the product, in order to avoid injuries!

■

Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! If the battery leaks,

avoid physical contact with the battery acid. Wear protective

gloves if necessary. If you touch battery acid, rinse the aﬀ ec-

ted area with abundant fresh water immediately and contact a

doctor as soon as possible.

■

Never look directly into the LEDs! This could damage your

eyes.

■

Never disassemble the solar unit (except to remove the batte-

ry). Have repairs carried out by a specialist workshop or custo-

mer service only. The LEDs cannot be replaced.

■

Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! It is only

splashproof.

■

In extreme weather conditions (e. g., storms, hail), or if you are

not using the product for a long time, switch oﬀ and store in a

dry place at room temperature.

■

Protect the product from ﬂ ames and impact.

has been damaged in transit, do not use it and instead contact

customer service.

Remove any protective ﬁ lm (e. g., from solar panel) and labels.

Product Overview

Set-up

The solar lamp should not be placed near to other light sources

such as street lamps or other lamps, so that the LEDs can be swit-

ched on automatically.

Position the solar lamp so that the solar panel is able to absorb

direct sunlight the whole day preferably.

Switching on and oﬀ

1. Pull out the protective strip next to the LEDs to activate the

battery.

2. Slide the On / Oﬀ switch to ON.

3. Hook the fastening arm onto the edge of the gutter.

4. Tighten the locking screw until the solar lamp is held ﬁ rmly in

place. It must not wobble.

The storage battery can now charge up in daylight. When dark-

ness sets in, the LEDs automatically switch on. When it gets

light, the LEDs switch oﬀ and the storage battery is charged up

via the solar panel.

Before the LEDs can illuminate, the battery must be charged

up for approx. 6 to 8 hours.

5. When the solar lamp is not being used switch it oﬀ by sliding

the On / Oﬀ switch to the OFF position.

PLEASE NOTE: Storage battery power can be severely impacted

by extremely low temperatures.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally

friendly manner so that it can be recycled.

The battery should be removed before disposing of the

product and disposed of separately from the product at

suitable collection points.

This product is governed by the European Directive

2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment

(WEEE). Do not dispose of the product as normal domestic

waste, but rather in an environmentally friendly manner via

an oﬃ cially approved waste disposal company.

Removing the Battery

■

Batteries can be deadly if swallowed. The battery and the pro-

duct should be kept out of the reach of children and animals.

There is a danger of burns from battery acid! If the battery is

swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately.

■

Batteries must not be taken apart, thrown into a ﬁ re, immersed

in liquids or exposed to high temperatures of over +40°C. The

battery could ignite or explode.

1. Next to the LEDs there are two battery compartments. Push

the locking catches, e.g. with a screwdriver, and take them oﬀ .

2. Remove and dispose the batteries.
