MOUNTING INSTRUCTION

3.1 DISMOUNT THE OLD CABLE

 Remove the cover for the TDC-sensor space in the rotor.

 Remove the locking piece for the cable.

 Remove the centering nut from the TDC-sensor.

 Disconnect the bayonet connector of the cable from the TDC-sensor.

 Remove the Safeset clutch.

 Remove the TVD-TA1 transducer.

 Remove the cable from the cable guide inside the rotating transformer.

 Disconnect the cable from the rotating unit by holding the covers of the connectors and pull

them gently apart.

 Remove the mounting clip for the cable on the centering plate.

 Remove the cover of the connector from the welded sleeve of the metal tube.

 Be careful of the connector and use no tools if not necessary.

 Mount the brass cage (DD-DH15G) with the hauling wire to the welded sleeve of the tube.

 Pull the cable from the transducer end thus replacing it with the hauling wire.

 Remove the brass cage from the welded sleeve.

3.2 MOUNT THE NEW CABLE

 Remove the cover of the contact from the welded sleeve of the metal tube of the new cable.

Be careful of the connector and use no tools.

 Mount the brass cage (DD-DH15G) with the hauling wire to the welded sleeve of the tube.

 Pull the hauling wire until the flange of the rigid metal tube of the cable rests on the designed

edge of the rotor.

 Connect the bayonet connector to the TDC-sensor. Be careful to the surface (dia 17 mm)

outside the bayonet since the gasket inside the centering nut uses it.

 Mount the centering nut to the transducer. Check that the surface on the TDC-sensor is flat so

that the surface works as a sealing together with the cupper washer on the centering nut.

 At the other end, remove the brass cage and mount the attached O-ring and the cover of the

connector, use the attached tool to prevent rotation of the inner set.

Be careful of the connector parts.

 Slide the cable through the hole of the centering plate and the coupling flange.

 Fasten the cable to the centering plate with the mounting clip.

 Connect the cable to the rotating unit by holding the covers of the contacts, position the

male/female by rotating them and then push them gently together.

 Place the cable in the cable guide inside the rotating transformer, and mount the locking

screw.

 Mount the TVD-TA1 transducer.

 Mount the Safeset clutch.
