4.5.- Membrane installation (Figure-7)

To fit the membrane (Figure-7) in the membrane housing correctly, the membrane must be

taken out of its packaging and proceed as follows:

a. Unscrew the nut of the elbow + pressure gauge connector at the membrane housing inlet to

be able to open the membrane housing cap.

b. Open the membrane housing lid by turning it anti-clockwise with the help of the wrench

supplied with the system (Figure-9).

c. Insert the membrane in the correct way as indicated in the following image.

d. Once the membrane is fitted, reclose the membrane housing clockwise using the wrench

supplied with the system (Figure-9) and screw in the elbow nut and pressure gauge at the

membrane housing inlet.

The hydraulic connections should follow the contour of the surface chosen for installation so

that the tubes do not get mixed up or tangled. Leave a sufficient length of tube to ease moving the

system during future maintenance. Here are the steps to follow to make the hydraulic connection:

a. Place the osmosis system and storage tank (Figure-6) in

the chosen location.

b. Connect ¼" tube (Figure-10) to the brass ball valve

connected water supply inlet (Figure-14).

c. Unscrew the elbow nut at the osmosis system input. Insert ¼" tubing through the nut and

place a ¼" plastic insert (Figure-16) on that end of the tube. Screw the elbow nut on again at

the osmosis system input.

d. Apply Teflon to the upper thread of the storage tank (Figure-6) and screw on the ball

valve (Figure-15).

e. Unscrew the nut on the ball valve and insert ⅜"

tube through the nut and place a ⅜" plastic insert

(Figure-17) on that end. Screw the nut back on

the ball valve.
