For Mac OS X

Before you install

Make sure your machine is connected to the power

and your Macintosh is ON.

NOTE

If there are any programs running, close them.

Install Scanner Driver

Put the DVD-ROM into your DVD-ROM drive.

Click Driver Download file to download the

installer from the link destination product page.

Double-click the Brother PDS-XXXX.dmg file.

Double-click Brother PDS-XXXX, and follow

the on-screen instructions.

When prompted by the installer, connect the supplied

USB cable to the USB ports on your computer

(a USB 3.0 port is recommended) and machine.

NOTE

• When you install the scanner driver, DS Capture

(a scanning application) will be installed at the

same time. For more information on using

DS Capture, see Use DS Capture in the

User's Guide.

• Clicking Presto! PageManager will take you to

NewSoft Technology Corporation's website.

Download the application from this website.

The installation is now

Finish

complete and it is time to

do a test scan. See Test
