Load your document

Connect the supplied USB cable to the USB
port on your scanner. Connect the other end of
the cable to the USB port on your computer.

Open the Top Cover 1, and then unfold the
Document Guides 2.

Pull the Output Tray out of the machine 1 and
then unfold the Document Stopper 2.

IMPORTANT
Always open the top cover and output tray fully.
Failure to do so may cause a risk of damage to the
document.

Fan the pages well.

Place your document, face down, top edge first
in the document feeder between the Document
Guides until you feel it touch the inside of the
machine gently. Adjust the Guides 1 to fit the
width of your document.

Scan using DS Capture

Double-click the DS Capture shortcut on your
desktop.

Select your scanner model, and then click OK.
(Macintosh)
Click Scan or press Scan.
Your scanner starts scanning.

Click Scan. Your scanner starts scanning.

• To scan documents and configure various
settings, please ensure you have installed
the driver and connected the machine to
your computer by following the instructions
in this guide.
