How do I know I connected the tubing all the way?
Questions
A visual way to ensure you are inserting the tubing all the
way into the quick connect is to put a mark 5/8" up from
the end of the tube; the tube should be inserted that far.
After installing the system and flushing, leaks may not
appear. Ensure your system is not leaking by checking
post-installation periodically. Recheck an hour after the
tank is filled with water, which takes about an hour.
Can I install the cartridges in the wrong stage?
No, the guides to help with insertion can only fit in their
correct cartridge slot.
How do I know I connected the filter correctly?
The cartridge handle should be horizontal and handle
labeling should be right side up.
How do I know the system is filtering my drinking water?
The best way to know if you're drinking filtered water is to
purchase a TDS test kit and a contaminant reduction test.
Or, have a licensed professional test your drinking water.
Why is my water running out black?
Because the filters are new, they may contain carbon fines.
The flushing process ensures all remaining carbon fines are
flushed out. While this affects the color of the water, it is not
harmful. Ensure you flushed your system for the stated time
on page 11.

Is the system supposed to make noise?
Questions
The only noise the system should make is a quiet gurgling
from the airgap faucet. During set up you may hear
sputtering from air leaving system.
I have an existing airgap dedicated faucet; can I use
that with this system?
Yes, your existing airgap faucet will work if you have the
same tube sizing on your current airgap faucet or by using
an adapter. The tube size needed for the drain connection
to airgap is ¼", so ensure you have the proper size tubing.
You won't need to change the 3/8" red line from the air gap
drain to the drain saddle – leave connected. The blue tube
(water line) from the system to the faucet will need to be ¼".
You will need an adapter if you don't have the correct
size tubing.
In order to maintain the NSF/ANSI 58 certification of this
product, the drain line installation must comply with the
standard requirements of a vertical air gap of two pipe
diameters or 25 mm (1 in), whichever is larger, or an air gap
faucet that is tested and certified against NSF/ANSI 58 must
be included.
I have an existing, non-airgap, faucet; can I use that with
this system?
Yes, you can use a non-airgap faucet, but it is a safety
requirement with reverse osmosis systems to use an airgap
along the drain line. If you don't want to use an airgap faucet,
you must purchase an airgap separately.
How do I dispose of the filter cartridges?
You can take the entire filter cartridge and put it in the trash.
It, unfortunately, can't be recycled but is designed with
minimal components to help reduce waste.
