This measure avoids the risk that a set power saving mode prevents the transmis-

sion of the image data from the camera.

When you close the Olympus or Olympus Soft Imaging Solutions' software, control

of your computer's power saving mode is returned to the operating system.

The camera isn't available in the software

Problem description: The driver for the USB 3.0 PCI express card and the driver

for your camera have been correctly installed. Nevertheless, you're not able to

select the camera in your software. All of the image acquisition functions are grayed

out in your software.

More than one thing could be causing the problem. Work through the solutions listed

below.

Problem: The camera isn't properly connected to the computer because a cable

has come unplugged.

Solution: Check the connections. Follow the instructions in chapter 6.2.1 on

page 22.

Problem: You are using an existing USB 2.x slot on your computer.

Solution: Insert the supplied USB 3.0 PCI express card into the computer. Follow

the instructions in chapter 4.1 on page 13.

You receive an error message when you start the

live-image

Problem description: After starting the live-image you get the

error message.

More than one thing could be causing the problem. Work through the solutions listed

below.

Problem: The USB cable you are using is too long.

Solution: Use the supplied USB cable.

Problem: Other processes that require a lot of processing power are running at the

same time.

Solution: Check which other processes are running and end those that are not

required.

Problem: Other devices are connected to your computer. This can cause the power

supply for the USB 3.0 PCI express card to be insufficient.

Solution: Unplug all devices that you don't require from the computer. If possible,

use the supplied power cable.
