C. Firmware Upgrade Procedures:
CAUTION:
CONFIRM THE FIRMWARE FILES AND APPROPRIATE PROCEDURE ARE FOR THE
MODEL YOU ARE UPDATING. USING THE INCORRECT FILES MAY RENDER THE UNIT
INOPERABLE AND REQUIRE REPAIR.
DO NOT
TURN OFF OR DISCONNECT THE AC FROM THE A/V RECEIVER, PC, OR DVD/CD
PLAYER DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS!
Note: The Keys mentioned in the following procedures are located on the Receiver's front panel as shown
in Figure 1.
I. HDMI, DSP, EVENT, and MAIN microcomputers
Preparation:
1. Return the Receiver to the Factory Default Settings:
A. With the Receiver is in standby mode (off), press and hold the "SETUP" (20) key and then
B. Wait until the relay click and then use the arrow keys
C. After "RESET OK?" is displayed, press the "ENTER" (21) key to confirm and "OK" is
D. Turn off the unit by pressing the "STANDBY/ON" (2) key.
Note: This will set the Volume to minimum ("---db" on the display) and Multi-Zone to OFF. This is a
required step for the following procedures and should not need to be done again until finished with the
update(s).
2. Connect the PC to the unit.
