For your protection:
● Read and understand the "Safety labels" section. Read all the instructions given on
them.
Shutdown and storage:
● Lower the flail mower to the ground, set the tractor's parking brake, turn off the
engine and take the ignition key.
● Place the machine in an area where children do not normally stay. Secure the machine by
using various covers and supports.
Use safety lights:
● Slow tractors, self-propelled machines and towed implements can create danger when
driving on public roads. They are difficult to see, especially at night.
● Flashing lights are recommended when driving on public roads. Use lights and parts
supplied with the flail mower
Safe transport:
● Comply with state and local laws.
● Maximum transport speed for the flail mower is 20 km/h. Do not exceed this
speed. Uneven terrain requires a lower speed.
● Sudden braking can cause a towed unit to spin. Reduce speed if the towed unit is not
equipped with brakes.
● Follow the following maximum speed:
20 km/h when the load is less than or equal to the weight of the tractor. 10
km/h when the load is twice the weight of the tractor.
IMPORTANT: Do not tow a unit that is more than twice the weight of the tractor.
Do not have passengers on the flail mower:
● Passengers obstruct the operator's view. Passengers may be thrown from the flail mower.
● Never let children operate the flail mower.
Safe maintenance:
● Understand the procedure before doing the work. Use suitable tools
and equipment. See operating instructions for further information.
● Work in a clean and dry area.
● Lower the machine to the ground, set the tractor's parking brake, turn off the engine, and
remove the key before performing maintenance.
● Allow machine to cool completely before maintenance.
● Do not lubricate the machine with grease or oil while the machine is running.
● Inspect all parts. Make sure all parts are in good condition and properly installed.
● Remove excess grease, oil or dirt.
