GUIDE TO RESOLVE PROBLEMS
The exactness of these scales when they are calibrated in out factory
is + / - 100 grams. This means that between two scales you may find
deviations of 200 g. In spite of this, they would be in their tolerances.
In order to obtain a more exact weight, checking first the scale is on
a steady surface, go up on to the centre of the plate. If the error still
seems excessive, revise the following:
1.
B A L A N C E
The pointer of the graduated rule
does not stop in the centre of the
limitative rectangle when both
counterweights are in zero.
2.
TILTABLE ARM DOES NOT MOVE FREELY
The pointer touches the limitative
rectangle in some point of its travel
(figure 4).
3.
THE PLATE SWAYS TOO MUCH OR TOUCHES THE BASE IN A
CORNER
When leaning your thumbs on two
opposite corners of the plate, pressing
alternatively with each finger, you
notice the plate wobbles.

Check that both counterweights are
well adjusted into their zero mortises. If
necessary, adjust mobile counterweights
too. (figure 4).
If this is the case, align the graduated
rule again.
Raise the plate several times and let
it fall until it is totally settled.
Go up and down on the plate several
times so that all parts of it are
properly settled. (This solution is
more advisable so that all parts that
compose the scale do not suffer any
damages)
