Basic information

TECHNICAL DATA

The Emergency Plug from Total Safety Solutions is suitable for all electric and plug-in hybrid
vehicles with a type 1 or type 2 connection. The vehicles for which the Emergency Plug is
suitable comply with the European legislation "VN/ECE regulation no. R100.01".
Only use the specified 3 x 1.5 volt alkaline manganese dioxide battery in the Emergency Plug as
supplied in the original factory version. Do not use rechargeable or lithium batteries. To prolong
the life of the battery, keep the Emergency Plug in a dry room at a temperature of +5°C to +30°C.

STANDBY TIME

The Emergency Plug is always in standby mode and must be activated before use. Activation is
also for self-monitoring. The power consumption in standby mode is minimal. We recommend
testing the batteries monthly with the self-test button to prevent the batteries from running down
during use.
DURATION
The runtime depends on the amount of battery used, the ambient temperature and other
conditions. The runtime of the Emergency Plug is at least 2 hours at a temperature of +5°C to
+30°C for a battery with maximum capacity. The specified runtime refers to the battery
specifications at the time of initial delivery. The battery supplied and its 3 x 1.5 volt alkaline
manganese dioxide battery (Procell intense AA PX1500). A battery temperature that is too high
or too low can affect the battery life.

MAINTENANCE

Total Safety Solutions recommends that the Emergency Plug be inspected and serviced annually
by one of Total Safety Solutions' approved suppliers. Any updates will also be installed during
this annual check.
