Operating the appliance

These instructions apply to several appliance models. It
is possible that individual features are described that do
not apply to your appliance.
Note: Turn the extractor hood on when you start cooking
and switch it off again a few minutes after you have
finished cooking. This is the most effective way to
eliminate cooking vapor.

Filter pull-out

Pulling out the filter drawer
Hold the filter drawer by the middle and pull it out.
The control panel is accessible and the appliance is
ready for operation.
Note: Start the appliance with the functions that were set
when the drawer was closed.
Pushing the filter drawer in
Hold the filter drawer by the middle and push it in.
Note: The ventilation is switched off when the drawer is
closed, the light stays on.

Turn on the fan
Note: Always adjust the fan strength to meet current
conditions. If there is a large build-up of steam or fumes,
select a high fan setting.
Switching on
Press "+" button.
The current ventilator settings are indicated by a bar
on the display panel.
Press "+" or "-" keys to change the ventilator settings.
Switching off
Press the "-" button repeatedly until the ventilator
switches off.

Intense level

For especially strong odor or vapor, use the intense level.
Press the + button while the appliance is at ventilation
setting 3.
is displayed.

After 5 minutes, the electronics automatically turn the
appliance down to ventilation setting 2. If you wish to end
the intensive setting before the preset time expires, press
the "-" button until the required setting is reached.

Fan back flow

Press the
button.

The previously-selected ventilator settings blink on the
display panel.
For each ventilator setting, a particular run-on time is
stored:
Level 1: 20 minutes
Level 2: 15 minutes
Level 3: 10 minutes
Intensive setting: 5 minutes
Once this time has elapsed, ventilation switches off
automatically. If the lighting is switched on, it remains on.

Lighting

The lighting can be switched on and off independently of
the ventilation.
Press the

button.

Saturation notification

The saturation of the metal grease filter or of the active
carbon filter is indicated on the display panel.
Metal grease filter: Ventilator setting 3 and intensive
setting blink in alternation.
Active carbon filter: Ventilator setting 3 and intensive
setting blink simultaneously.
If you have not yet done so, the metal mesh grease filters
should be cleaned or the activated carbon filter changed
now.
