TROUBLESHOOTING

CAUSE

Unit not plugged in

Thermostat set too warm

Faulty thermostat, in the

coldest position, the switch is

not closed

Doors not sealing

Torn or damaged door

gaskets

Evaporator fan not running

Condenser fan motor not

running

Condenser coil dirty/ filter dirty

Refrigerant leak

Thermostat set too cold

Faulty thermostat, in the off

position, the switch does not

open, stuck closed

Drain tube plugged

Drain tube loose or

disconnected from drain pan

REMEDY

Plug unit in

Set thermostat colder, the

higher the number, the

colder the unit will be

Replace thermostat

Adjust doors

Replace gaskets

Check motor, repair or

replace

Check motor, repair or

replace

Clean coil or filter

Leak check unit, repair,

and recharge

Turn thermostat to a

warmer setting, the higher

the number, the colder the

unit will be

Replace thermostat

Clear drain tube

Tighten or re-connect

drain tube
