2. The LEDs above the PRESET SELECT/TAP switch illuminate to move left/rightward showing the status before change and
the current status.
NOTE
PRESET 1 or 2 LED Illuminated: The PARAMETER encoder is in the counterclockwise direction (minus parameter value) comparing the current
position with the preset position.
PRESET 3 or 4 LED Illuminated: The PARAMETER encoder is in the clockwise direction (plus parameter value) comparing the current position
with the preset position.
PRESET 2 and 3 LEDs Illuminated: The knob is at the PARAMETER encoder position defined in the preset (original parameter value).
Recalling a Preset
FF-1Y's presets can be recalled in various ways depending on your application.
Switching Four Presets (1)

NOTE
When the PRESET SELECT/TAP switch is pressed, the preset changes as follows: PRESET 1  PRESET 2  PRESET 3  PRESET 4  PRESET 1...
Switching Four Presets (2)
1. Connect a momentary (unlatch) type switch to the EXT terminal.
2. Press the PRESET switch for about 2 seconds.
3. Turn the PARAMETER encoder until the display shows "1-4."
4. Press the PARAMETER encoder. The display returns to its previous status.
5. Press the external switch.
NOTE
Each press of the external switch immediately changes presets as follows: PRESET 1  PRESET 2  PRESET 3  PRESET 4  PRESET 1...
Switching Presets between 1 and 2 Alternately
1. Connect a momentary (unlatch) type switch to the EXT terminal.
2. Press the PRESET switch for about 2 seconds.
3. Turn the PARAMETER encoder until the display shows "1-2."

3. Press the PARAMETER encoder to recall the selected preset.
Recalling Preset with PRESET SELECT/TAP Switch
You can connect a momentary (unlatch) type switch to the FF-1Y's EXT terminal and use this switch to recall presets in
several ways. The PRESET SELECT/TAP switch can also be used to perform the same function.
This enables you to perform a preset recall and tempo entry in various ways.

Recalling Preset with MIDI Signal from External Device
When a MIDI signal containing a program change number is received from an external MIDI device, the FF-1Y changes
its preset. The MIDI channel of the device sending the program change number must be the same as the FF-1Y's MIDI
channel.
