Assigning Functions to PRESET SELECT/TAP Switch

The FF-1Y can assign various functions to the PRESET SELECT/TAP switch.
1. Simultaneously press the PRESET SELECT/TAP and PRESET switches for about 2 seconds.
2. The display shows the function assigned to the PRESET SELECT/TAP switch.
3. Turn the PARAMETER encoder until the desired function is shown in the display.
4. Press the PARAMETER encoder to confirm.

MIDI Setups

Setting up MIDI Receiving Channel

Upon receiving a program change number included in a MIDI signal from an external MIDI device, the FF-1Y switches
presets instantly.
1. Turn on the power to the unit while holding down the PRESET SELECT/TAP switch.
2. When the unit boots up, release the PRESET SELECT/TAP switch.
3. Turn the PARAMETER encoder until the desired MIDI receiving channel is shown in the display.
4. Press the PARAMETER encoder to confirm.
NOTE
A receiving channel can be set to 1–16 channel and Omni mode (factory default) in which all channels are received. In Omni mode, the
display shows "ALL." When set to "oFF," no MIDI signal is received.

Transmitting Data to/from an External Device

The FF-1Y can save or recall preset contents to/from a personal computer. For connection and setup procedures,

Updating Firmware

The firmware of the FF-1Y can updated. For the latest firmware or connection and setup procedures, please confirm

Initializing

Perform the following steps to reset to the factory setting. All presets are cleared and returned to factory defaults.
1. Turn on the power to the unit while holding down the DISP and SAVE switches at the same time.
2. Release the switches when the display shows "Int."
3. Press the PARAMETER encoder to execute the initialization.
