SITES WITH NO EXISTING POE EQUIPMENT

Note: Before you configure your unit, make sure you've chosen an area that's appropriate to mount the
clock later, taking into account how long you require the leads to be.
For areas that aren't equipped with a PoE enabled network, then the setup is typically best served
by using a Power Injector.
If you choose this method and have a power injector supplied by Galleon, then connect the
sub/switch to the port labelled "LAN" on the power injector, and then connect the clock to the
port labelled "PoE" on the power injector. Plug the power supply in and wait for the display to
come on, when the unit powers up make a note of the IP address as this will be needed to
configure the unit via telnet later.
Galleon Systems offers a single port PoE injector for sale to support demonstration systems. For
more information on these please call our Sales Team on 0121 608 7230.

MOUNTING THE CLOCK

After the PoE setup has been completed, the clock can be mounted to the wall.
Step 1 – Locate the two slots on the back of the Signal Clock, which allow the clock to be mounted
to the wall using two screws.
Step 1 - Measure a horizontal line of exactly 300mm in the area of your choice, the end points of
which represent the drilling locations for the screws.
Step 2 – Drill the holes, and insert raw plugs into the wall to prevent the screws from coming
loose.
Step 3 – Fit the screws into the plugs.
Step 5 – When the clock is ready, connect the appropriate cables and hang it on the wall.
