The [Add a Volume Group] window will appear.

Specify the following items.

Specify any name for the [VOLUME GROUP name].
•
Be sure to specify the [PHYSICAL VOLUME names].

After the settings are complete, exit the "smit" command.

Check the contents of the new volume group.
Use the "lsvg" command to discover the number of physical partitions (the "Total PPs" value). This is
