Anchor Installation: New Construction
For new pool deck installations, the footing for the pool lift should be at least 3'-6" x 3-6" x 6" deep.
It should be reinforced with one mat of four (4) #4 reinforcing bars (rebar) that are 2" clear from
the top of the new pour. (Reinforcing mesh can be used instead of rebar - check the local code
requirements. See drawing below).

The footing for the lift should be tied into the rest of the pool deck on three sides with the rebar
or reinforcing mesh. (Do not tie into the bond beam). The rest of the pool deck can be a typical 4"
thick or thickened per local code requirements. Bond rebar or reinforcing mesh grid according to
local requirements and also bond the anchor system to the rebar/mesh grid.
