Digital Temperature & Analog Sensor (RMA-DTA-SEN)

1. Connect one end of the RJ-11 cable to the Digital Port on the Digital Temperature &

Analog Sensor box.

2. Run the built-in 25' cable back to your Room Alert. Try to avoid running it near large

electromagnetic devices or fluorescent lights, which produce EMI that can interfere with

You may extend your digital sensor up to 100' away

from your Room Alert. AVTECH stocks the 25' RJ-11

Step 3: Connect your Digital Temperature & Analog Sensor to an analog sensor.

Do not connect the analog inputs on AVTECH products or other electrical appliances

to live circuits of over 5 VDC.

Use only low-voltage 2-wire cable to connect dry contacts.

1. Separate and strip both ends of a low-voltage, two-wire cable (such as speaker wire).

Expose about ¼" of wire.

2. Connect one set of leads to the analog input port on the Temperature &

Analog Sensor. Note that the port is polarized: the left contact is negative

(-) and the right is positive (+), when viewed with grey push clip up.

3. Connect the +/- wires to the matching +/- contacts on an analog sensor, such as

AVTECH's Current Loop.

3. Plug the free end of the RJ-11 cable into an RJ-11 port on

your Room Alert.

You may use any two-wire low-voltage cable to connect the analog

input port to the analog output port on your analog sensor.
