QUALITY CONTROLS
Control materials can be processed like any blood sample.
QUALITY CONTROLS PROVIDED BY DIESSE DIAGNOSTICA SENESE ARE AUTOMATICALLY
RECOGNIZED BY THE INSTRUMENT.
RECORDING OF QUALITY CONTROLS NOT PROVIDED BY DIESSE
To carry out this procedure, the Quality Controls must be identified by a dedicated
barcode. If this is not present, it is necessary to print labels with a barcode, which, read
by the instrument, can be combined with the information introduced below.
Press the SETTING button

Press the QC icon
-
Introduce the Normal Control (Level 1) in position 1

Press the DETECT button. The instrument identifies the barcode and displays it in
-
the barcode window
Manually enter the data relating to name, lot, expiration date and limits of acceptability

Remove the Normal QC
-
Introduce the Abnormal Control (Level 2) in position 1
-
Repeat the procedure already performed for the Normal Control
-
Following this procedure, the instrument will be able to automatically identify the controls
during a cycle, by reading their barcode and displaying them on the screen:
Normal Control: test tube with white cup

Abnormal Control: test tube with black cup
-
SYMBOLS AND ICONS
If the barcode is not read, a black dot appears next to the sample, and a warning
window indicates all the unread positions.
Option 1
Open the top lid and reposition the tube correctly in the sample holder plate

Press the RETRY button to have the barcode read again

Option 2
Press on the text line
-
Enter the code manually (using the on-screen keyboard)

Press the OK button
-
Option 3
Do not enter any code for this sample and move to the next position by pressing
the SKIP button
Option 4
Do not enter codes for all unidentified samples: press the SKIP ALL button
If none of these options is undertaken within 30 seconds, the SKIP ALL choice is
activated and the cycle starts automatically.
Residual sedimentation time (in minutes) for all the samples inserted at the start
of the cycle
Residual sedimentation time (in minutes) relating to the sample added in random
access mode, in correspondence with the position in which it was inserted
