Chapter 3
Initializing Cisco Unified IP Phones
Prerequisites
To unlock the phone, follow these steps:
Procedure
Press Settings > Unlock Config.
Step 1
The password prompt appears.
Enter the phone's password.
Step 2
Press Accept.
Step 3
Locked menus are unlocked. The Unlock Config menu choice changes to Lock Config and lockable
menus remain unlocked while you work within the Settings menu.
Note
To manually relock the phone, select Settings > Lock Config.

Setting and Restoring Network Parameters

To modify network parameters using the phone menus, follow these steps:
Procedure
Unlock the Network Configuration menu.

Select the parameters you want to change and set them to the desired values.
