This bulletin describes the software modifications for the SCU board.
Three [MSIS, Copy1 and MF Shell] ROMs have been changed for this modification.
Caution
North American Model
When replacing with the new ROM, the User Tools file is initialized. Before replacing the ROM,
please use SP-5990-1 to perform the SP Mode Data Printing. After replacing the ROM, please re-
write the values of the printed SP Mode data.
European Model
When replacing with the new ROM, the User Tools and the SP files are initialized. Before
replacing the ROM, please use SP-5990-1 to perform the SP Mode Data Printing. After replacing
the ROM, please re-write the values of the User Tools and the printed SP Mode data.
Problem
There were only 20 User IDs available and there were requests from the field to increase this
number.
Countermeasure
The number of User IDs has been increased from 20 to 250.
