Cleaning
Ensure that the bin lid is cleaned regularly with a clean, dry cloth. Do not let dirt build up around the
sensor mechanism ad this will cause the sensor to stop working overtime.

Turn off and remove the lid.
2.
Wipe inside the lid with a clean dry cloth or an antibacterial wipe, ensure the lid is dried
afterword's if using an antibacterial wipe.
3.
Wipe the inside and outside of the bin with a clean, damp cloth.
TROUBLESHOOTING

Lid operates slowly

Reason / Solution
Check the batteries are inserted correctly and are in the correct position.
Turn the bin OFF and ON again using the button at the back of the bin.
Clean the sensor area with a dry, clean cloth.
Reset the sensor by turning off the bin and taking the batteries out for 24 hours.
Check nothing is blocking the lid before trying to close.
Clean the sensor area with a dry, clean cloth.

Check the batteries are inserted correctly and haven't fallen out of place.
Replace the batteries.
The lid has been forced open and/or closed, a new lid is required.
Rubbish or object is too close to the lid and is triggering the sensor.
Kitchen counter or shelf is directly above the sensor.
A person walked by and was too close to the sensor.
Intense fluorescent lights are directly above the sensor.
The motor is broken, a new lid is required.
