Firmware notes
OEM Remote Starter: Before programming your module, you must first check if your vehicle is equipped with an OEM remote
starter and disable it. If the vehicle is equipped with an OEM remote starter, whether Active or Inactive, it MUST be temporarily
disabled or permanently disconnected depending on the vehicle. Please refer to the "OEM remote starter information" section of the
guide for additional details. Also, to remote start the engine, all doors must be closed.
Note: In some cases, the module will program to the vehicle even if equipped with an OEM starter, but will prevent the aftermarket
remote start from functioning properly.
Remote Start: All doors must be closed and locked to remote start the vehicle.
Motorized Hatch: If available, the Motorized Hatch feature needs to be enabled using the configuration tool found on the module
flashing page on www.directechs.com.
Unless specified otherwise, all connectors are displayed from the wire side, with the exception of the OBDII diagnostic connector.
Refer to the "Vehicle connections" following the installation diagram.
