Caratec Electronics CEA100G gas sensor

Product information

The CEA100G gas alarm detects different gases, such as propane / butane (LPG),
carbon monoxide and anaesthetic gases. The as alarm alerts by means of an alarm
signal when it detects the gases.
The CEA100G is a professional and highly sensitive alarm that will warn (sleeping)
occupants by a loud signal. The alarm reacts to the smallest gas concentrations
so that the gases don't have time to exert adverse effects on humans and animals.
When the as alarm detects a gas concentration in the ambient air, it will generate
a 40 second during pre-alarm. If the gas concentration remains constant during
the pre-alarm or is increasing, the alarm is activated with a continuous alarm tone
and the red LED constantly shines. If the gas concentration after the alarm has
disappeared, the as alarm will return to the standby mode.

Installation

The CEA100G gas alarm is connected to the 12V supply of the vehicle. The alarm
should be installed 30 cm in height above the floor.
For a faultless alarm operation ambient air must not contain environmentally
harmful gases. Naturally, the operation of the alarm for your safety should be
checked regularly. You can do this by turning on the alarm and wait until the green
LED remains shining after the self-test. Then press the button of a gas-lighter next
to the lateral openings of the gas alarm (only gas, no flames).
After a few seconds you will hear the 40 seconds during pre-alarm, wich will be
followed by the alarm, if you keep on steaming the gas into the casing.
Because some gases rise and some gases fall, it is possible to improve the
operation of the additional gas alarm by placing an extra optional sensor (CEZ101)
that can be mounted at a different height or position.
The extra sensors detect all the same gases as the main alarm. It is possible to
connect 2 extra sensors per main alarm for example on another height or in a
different room.
