The following instructions will help you
install your LongView IP KVM extender.
For more information, consult the LongView
IP KVM Extender Installer/User Guide.
Using the serial interface
The receiver incorporates a serial menu-driven interface
that allows you to:
• Alter network settings for the receiver and transmitter
• Set or change passwords
• Upgrade firmware
• Reset units to factory defaults
• Reboot a unit
• View connection status
The menu system may be accessed via HyperTerminal
and a null modem cable. Configure your session as
follows: 57600 bits per second, 8 data bits, no parity, 1
stop bit and no flow control. The password is password
for both the transmitter and receiver units.
Supported refresh rates
Adjust the screen resolution and refresh rates of your
remote workstation according to the following table.
Remote workstations with unsupported settings will
produce blank video at the receiver.
