Check parfocality

Both the cross hairs of the standard eyepiece and the specimen in the standard objective must

look sharp. Even if any displacement is found, it should be within the following standard

range.

Standard range

The difference between the position where the cross hairs of the standard eyepiece look sharp and the position

where the specimen in the standard objective looks sharp should be within 2 graduations on the helicoid scale

of the KNO048.

Scale

If it is not within the standard range, return to "Adjusting parfocality" on page D-23 and

repeat the work.
