WaterPro™ AVFD Series Alarm Panel - Installation Instructions
Installation of the WaterPro™ Alarm Panel
1. To install/replace the battery for the backup power feature, remove the access cover (Fig. 1) and install a 9 VDC
battery (Duracell model MX 1604B2), see Figure 2. After installing the battery, press and hold the "Test" pushbutton
(Fig. 3) to activate the alarm and make sure the battery is working properly. The alarm LEDs (red) should illuminate
and the buzzer should annunciate. Leave the access cover off (Fig. 4) until Step 5 (Fig. 12) on Page 3 is completed.

2. Determine the mounting location for the alarm. Make sure power outlet (120 VAC, 50/60 Hz) is within 5-feet of
the alarm (Fig. 5). Make sure the outlet is on a separate circuit breaker from any other device and not on a switched
receptacle to maintain power integrity. Mount the alarm using two (2) #6 self-tapping screws (not included) (Fig. 6).
Use two (2) #8 plastic anchors (not included) if mounting the alarm to sheet rock (Fig. 7).

3. Do not plug in and power the alarm panel until after all wiring is complete and the product is ready for testing.

1. The VFD pressure transducer cable (wires) must be disconnected from the VFD pressure transducer terminal
blocks (Fig. 8) and connected to the WaterPro™ Alarm Panel (Steps 2 and 3 / Fig. 9 and Fig. 10 / Page 3).
