EPLACING THE

ACK

A defective or improperly installed Back Side Lamp can cause the "Back

Side Optical Alarm" message to be displayed on the Operator Panel of

the scanner. Vertical lines or bad image quality on the back scan can

also be caused by a defective Back Side Lamp.

•

Push the Blue Locking Tab

back and pull open the side

cover. The cover is on the

left side of the scanner.

•

Hold the Blue handle and pull

out the Back Side Lamp Unit.

•

Rotate the lamp a half turn

so that the 2 terminals on

each end of the lamp align

with the slot on the lamp

socket and remove the lamp

from the lamp unit.

•

Install the new lamp in the

lamp unit by inserting the

terminals of the lamp into the

socket and rotating the lamp

as shown to the right.
