AF1SL special level switch & leak detection system
For general monitoring of non-aggressive and non-corrosive liquids such as oils, petrols, kerosene and waste wa-
ter, etc., materials for wetted parts: Cabelec® and DURAN glass. Can be used in drain channels, clarification
plants, sewage processing plants, cable shafts, pools, weighing tanks, pipelines, filling devices, leakage monitoring
systems. Sensors are available in various model options.

Instructions for foverfill protection luid sensor types AF1SL*

The IR liquid sensor types AF* with metal housing and metal protection tubes as well as with conductive
plastic housing and plastic tubes may be used in Zone 0, Zone 1 and Zone 2 as well as gas groups IIA,
IIB and IIC, which are an explosion hazard due to flammable substances in the T1 to T4 temperature
classes. The IR liquid sensor types AF* with insulating plastic housing and plastic tubes may be used in
Zone 1 to Zone 2 as well as in gas groups IIA, IIB and IIC, which are an explosion hazard due to flam-
mable substances in the T1 to T4 temperature classes.

The plastic arts of the IR liquid sensors may only be cleaned with a damp cloth. Otherwise there is a
risk of electrostatic discharge!

For fluid sensors made of plastic, the installation location must be selected in such a way that no con-
tact with heavily flowing fluids is possible.
4.
The operation may solely be connected to an Aquasant® AS* control unit.
