Operating Instructions

General Operating Instructions
1.
Connect the Power Input Plug
into a grounded 120VAC outlet.

Devices with standard
AC plugs can be tested:

To test the working current

of the connected device:
a. Turn the device's power switch
to OFF and connect it to the
Input Socket of the AC Line Splitter.
b. Set Clamp Meter (sold separately)
to read AMPS and clamp it around
the X1 (normal current load)
or X10 (ten times the normal
current load) test terminal.
Note: When using x10 position,
divide reading on Clamp Meter by
10 to obtain correct reading.

c. Power on the device and read
the result on the Clamp Meter.
d. When finished, turn the device's
power switch OFF and then
remove the Clamp Meter.
e. Unplug the device and then
unplug the AC Line Splitter.
To test the voltage of the

connected device:
a. Set multimeter (sold separately)
to read AC VOLTS, and
then plug it's test leads into
the AC Voltage Test Jacks
on the AC Line Splitter.
b. Turn the device's power switch
to OFF and connect it to the
Input Socket of the AC Line Splitter.
c. Power on the device and read
the result on the multimeter.
d. When finished turn the device's
power switch OFF and remove
it from the AC Line Splitter.
e. Unplug the AC Line Splitter
and then remove the
multimeter's test leads.
5.
When finished, unplug the
AC Line Splitter and store indoors
out of children's reach.
Note: To calculate power
(wattage) of the connected device,
multiply voltage by current.
Power = voltage x current
