Pullman Latch
(Default)
1. Close door and mark inside door edge on the floor; transfer exit device rod centerline (backset) to the floor. Open door
and using inside door edge mark as reference, mark strike center and cavity outline.
2. Create the floor recess cavity as indicated.
3. Before drilling for the floor female anchor, position the strike so that the latch bolt engages in the strike with door closed.
4. Drill and install female anchor and fasten strike to the female anchor.
5. Adjust strike position with respect to the latch bolt and fasten securely.
6. Verify that latch bolt functions properly to lock and unlock the door.
Round Bottom Latch
(Option)
1. Mark floor with latch centerline. For DXAS225, use strike as template to mark floor anchor holes.
2. Before drilling or cutting floor, verify that marks align with latch centerlines.
3. Drill holes as indicated for supplied strike.
4. Dry-fit strikes and verify latch engagement before securing strikes.
