The BOOST stage gain is set to roll off some of the low end and low mid tone while adding a slight bit of
punch, which may feel like compression. We feel this will yield the best gain tone (which would typically
be used for soloing).
At very low settings (the knob turned to the "9:00" position or lower), the BOOST will actually cut the
underlying tone. Further clockwise after the 9:00 position, the GAIN stage will be additive to the
underlying gain of the CRUNCH channel.
REVERB – The reverb control allows you to increase the "echo", or reverb, by turning it clockwise as
indicated by the graphic.
TREBLE, MID & BASS – Use these controls to shape your sound. Start by setting the controls at the
midpoint for all three controls, and then experiment with making minor adjustments to each control,
progressively, until the preferred sound is achieved.
Section 4
Delay Effect
VOL – Use this control to raise or lower the volume level of the DELAY effect.
TIME – Use this control to set the time between delays. Turning the control clockwise increases the
DELAY time, while turning the control counterclockwise decreases the delay time.
REPEAT – Use this control to set the number of repeats the DELAY effect produces. Turning the control
clockwise increases the number of repeats, while turning the control counterclockwise decreases the
number of repeats heard in the DELAY effect.
DELAY PROGRAM LED'S and PROGRAMS – There are three LED's on the front panel under the delay
settings controls. Those five LED's represent five delay programs as follows:
Analog Delay
•
Digital Delay
•
Flange + Delay
•
To Turn the DELAY effect "ON", tap the ON/OFF/STEP PRGM button ONCE. TO Turn the Delay effect off,
tap and HOLD the ON/OFF/STEP PRGM button for approx. 3 seconds. After you turn on the delay effect,
you can control which program is active via the MASTERswitch 5 footswitch by tapping ONCE on the
ON/OFF/STEP PRGM button to advance through the programs and corresponding LED's.
PRGM MODE – The FM-25 allows for different delay programs to remain in "memory" on different
settings, namely the clean channel, the crunch channel and the boost gain stage. Using the rear PRGM
MODE toggle switch, you can set the behavior of the amp as follows:
OFF – This selection simply keeps the selected delay program active no matter what amp
•
setting is switched to (the clean channel, the crunch channel and the boost gain stage).
