First time use
IMPORTANT! During the below process, DO NOT fill the kettle more than the MIN. (0.5L) mark on the
kettle.
Filling above the min. mark will cause over boil and spillage out of the spout.
To ensure a long service life of the water kettle and to remove any residue from manufacturing process,
proceed as follows before using it for the first time:
1. Fill the kettle with water and add vinegar in a ratio of 1:3 (1 part vinegar / 3 parts water).
Note: Make the mixture in a separate container and then pour into the kettle, not more than the MIN.
(0.5L) mark.
2. Bring to a boil (see Boiling water), then pour away.
3. Allow the kettle to cool down and then refill it fresh water, boil the water and then pour it away again
To avoid scale deposits, descale the water kettle at regular intervals (after about every 15th use)
as described in the section "Descaling".
The appliance can heat water to 80℃, 85℃, 90℃, 95℃, 100℃ (boil) and has a keep warm function (Note: keep
warm function cannot be used when 100℃ boiling function is selected).
When the appliance is connected to mains power, all lights will be ON, and the appliance is in standby status.
All the lights will switch OFF, if the appliance is not used after 5 minutes. If you touch any of the buttons, all
the lights will switch back ON again to indicate standby status.

NOTE: During keep warm function, the kettle will switch ON & OFF to maintain the selected water
temperature. This is normal.
d. The same working procedure applies to 85℃+ keep warm, 90℃ + keep warm, 95℃ + keep warm.

will be paused and the keep warm LED will flash. Put the body back in 5 minutes, and the keep warm
function will continue. Otherwise, the appliance will shut down.
NOTE: The keep warm function cannot be selected when boiling water at 100℃.
