Aquarium Set Up Instructions
1. Open aquarium lid and remove the filter unit from the
aquarium body.
2. Wash your hands and arms. It's very important to
remove dirt, moisturiser and other impurities. Do this
whenever you work on the aquarium.
3. Wash the following: (Do not wash in soap or
detergent).Green filter sponge, ceramic noodles
(remove from bag), carbon cartridges, filter intake pipe,
strainer, elbow with diffuser, filter unit and inside the
glass tank.
4. Connect the intake pipe and strainer together.
5. Connect them to the bottom of the power head which
is connected to the base of the filter unit. (Fig 1)
6. Place the media boxes in the left and the right of the
filter unit. Place the green filter sponge in media box A
and the ceramic noodles in media box B. (Fig 2)
7. Place the carbon cartridges in the two slots provided
with the wool facing the power head. (Fig 2)
8. Connect the elbow into the top of the power head
and place the diffuser end into the green sponge. Make
sure the connection on to the power head is a tight fit.

9. Consider where you are going to place the aquarium.
Keep it away from direct light or areas with large
temperature fluctuations.
10. Place the aquarium on a flat level surface strong
enough to support its weight. We recommend a genuine
aquarium cabinet ( sold separately ) rather than general
household furniture.
11. Wash aquarium gravel. Place a portion of gravel
in a bucket, run water through and churn it over with
your hand until the water is running clear. It is important
to wash the gravel thoroughly. Repeat this process
several times until all the gravel has been washed.
12. Place washed gravel over the base of the
aquarium.
13. At this stage place plastic plants, decorations and
heater if being used for tropical fish.
14. Fill the aquarium with tap water to the level
indicated.
