Adjusting the Sound Level
of Speakers
To enjoy Dolby Pro Logic Surround eftects,
adjust the volume levels of the front, center
and rear speakers by using the test tone.
1 Press and hold down DOLBY PRO
LOGIC for more than a second.
2 Tum the JOG dial to choose the Dolby
Pro Logic Surround mode you want.
The display changes as follows:
NORMAL++3CH LOGIC

chapter.
3 Press ENTER/NEXT.
4 Press DOLBY PRO LOGIC
(or PRO
LOGIC ON/OFF on the remote) .
5 tum VOLUME (or press VOLUME
{+/-) on the remote) so that the volume
for the front speakers is set to your
normal listening volume.
6 Press TEST TONE on the remote.
The
test tone is automatically output from
each speaker in the sequence shown
below.

7 while sitting in your normal listening
position, adjust the volume using
CENTER LEVEL +/- and REAR LEVEL
+/-on the remote so that the volume
level of each speaker is at the same level.
(When you turn VOLUME (or press
VOLUME (+/-—) on the remote), the
volume changes for all speakers.)
8 After you have finished making all
adjustments, press TEST TONE to shut
off the test tone.

¢ Turn off Dolby Pro Logic Surround when
recording.
¢ The audio emphasis will be cancelled
automatically when you turn on the
Dolby Pro Logic Surround.
