Put   t he   c amera   b ack   i n   i ts   b ubblewrap   p rotection   s leeve,   t hen   p ut   i t   b ack   i n   t he   p rotecting   b ag.  
 
 
Importing   v ideo   i nto   t he   c omputer:

trying   t o   t ransfer   f ootage   t hat   w ay.   Y ou   c an   i nsert   t he   S D   c ard   i nto   t he   c omputer   ( the   l ab  
computers   h ave   S D   c ard   r eader   s lots   b uilt   i n)   a nd   d rag   a nd   d rop   t he   f iles   t o   y our   F ireWire   h ard  
drive   u sing   t he   f inder.   T he   v ideo   f iles   w ill   b e   l ocated   i n   t he   f older   " DICM   >   1 00CANON."    
 
The   v ideo   f iles   w ill   b e   Q uickTime   . mov   f iles,   a nd   c an   b e   i mported   i nto   F CP.   Y ou   c an   e dit   t hose  
files,   t hough   t he   p erformance   o f   t he   c omputer   m ay   n ot   b e   u p   t o   s nuff   a s   y ou   p lay   b ack   a nd  
shuffle   t hrough.   Y ou'll   f ind   t he   c omputer   w ill   s low   d own   a nd   h iccup   a   l ot   a s   y ou   t ry   t o   p lay   t he

We   r ecommend   t hat   y ou   u se   C ompressor   t o   c onvert   t he   f ootage   t o   " Apple   P roRes   4 22"   f ormat.    
Though   t hese   v ideo   f iles   w ill   b e   m uch   l arger   t han   t he   f iles   f rom   t he   T 2i,   t hey'll   b e   m uch   e asier  
to   e dit.   T he   A pple   P roRes   4 22   s etting   i n   C ompressor   i s   l ocated   i n   t he   " Formats   >   Q uicktime"
