Setting the menu password using the command line interface
When starting up the system for the first time the
Administrator Settings menu password is not set.
NoTE: We strongly recommend that you define a password
to protect the Administrator Settings menu, since these
settings affect the behavior of the video conference system.
The Administrator Settings menu password cannot be set
using the Touch controller. If your system does not have a
remote control, you have to set the menu password from
the command line interface.

Signing in to the command line interface
1. To find the IP address of the system, tap
> System Information
on the Touch controller.
The IPv4 Address and/or IPv6 Address is listed in the
NETWORK section.
2. Open a command line interface (SSH or Telnet) using
the system's IP address.
3. Enter your codec/system user name and password when
prompted.
The default user name is
admin
Setting the menu password
1. Connect to the system through the network or the
serial data port, using a command line interface (SSH or
Telnet).
2. Type the following command:
xCommand SystemUnit MenuPassword Set
Password: <password>
The password format is a string with 0–255 characters.
