Restoring the Factory-programmed System (Factory Set)

You can restore the factory default settings of the
KX. Follow the instructions below to execute the
Factory Set.
CAUTION
• The edited Arpeggio types and Control Templates
will be lost by executing the Factory Set. Important
data should be saved to the computer by using the
KX Editor (page 6).

From the Top display, press the [UTILITY]
button so that its lamp lights.

Description
Determines the velocity value when the VelCurve is set to
"Fix.".
Determines the DAW software you use on the computer with
the KX.
Determines the type of the MIDI message generated by
pressing the PROGRAM [INC] and [DEC] buttons.
PC+Remot .... When this is selected, the Program Change
message is transmitted via the USB-MIDI Port1
and the Function message* of Mackie Control is
transmitted via the USB-MIDI Port2.
ProgChg..... When this is selected, the Program Change
message is transmitted via the USB=MIDI Port1.
Remote....... When this is selected, the Function message* of
Mackie Control is transmitted via the USB-MIDI
Port2.
* The "Function message" indicates that the message for the
Functions 9 or 10 of Mackie Control. The [DEC] button on
the KX corresponds to the Function 9 while the [INC]
button corresponds to the Function 10.
Determines the connector for MIDI data transmission/
reception.
Determines the MIDI channel over which the KX transmits
MIDI messages (generated via your keyboard performance).
Determines whether the MIDI messages received via the
MIDI IN connector will be transmitted via the MIDI OUT
connector or USB connector.
Determines the MIDI Device Number of the KX.
Determines the duration (time) for which the value (like the
one called up by operating the CONTROL knob) is shown
temporarily on the display.
Determines the status of OCTAVE LED lamps. When "Normal"
is selected, the LED lamps work as described on page 27.
When "Reverse" is selected, the right and left of the LED
status are reversed.
Transmits all the settings of the KX to the DAW software or
external MIDI device as Bulk data. Press the DATA [INC]
button to start transmission.
Restores the Factory-programmed System of the KX.

Use the SELECT buttons to call up
"FactorySet."
3.
Press the DATA [INC] button.
"Are you sure?" appears on the display.
4.
Press the DATA [INC] button again to
execute the Factory Set.
After the Factory Set has been completed, the
display called up in step 2 appears.
