1.Loosen the folding/fixing ring.
2. Open the folding latch.

lower the stem of the scooter.
* Make sure the folding latch is against the stem
when closing and opening; to secure it, use the
folding ring. (If it isn't against the stem, the latch
can catch and lock the ability to close/open until
it is tapped back up against the stem.)

the rear fender and press down.
