Battery

The Ademco Vista – 20HWSE/SE operates on a 12V battery.



A low battery condition or a loss of AC power and use of backup battery power is indicated by BAT,



Bypassing Protected Areas

Bypassing a zone allows you to arm your system with certain protected areas intentionally unarmed.

To bypass a zone, press [security code] + [6] + [zone number].



Wait until the panel displays "BYPASS".



To unbypass a zone, disarm the system.



Chimes and Beeps

When your system is in chime mode, a chime alert will sound three tones whenever a protected door/window

is opened.

To turn chime mode on and off, enter your [security code] + [9].



Reset

To clear the display after an alarm event, enter your [security code] + [1].



Security Codes

You can program up to 14 additional users, however only the Master user can assign user codes to users.

Note that user numbers 1 and 2 are already assigned to the Installer and the Master user, respectively.

To add a new user, enter the [Master code] + [8] + [new user number] + [new user's code].



To delete a user, enter the [Master code] + [8] + [user number].



Wait approximately 3 seconds until the keypad beeps once to verify the user has been deleted.


