In the area of the connection, the ribs are not identical. Here, a distinction is made
in the structure between a left and right side.
First, use a sharp utility knife to separate the parts R1B L and R1B R and the parts R1C (2 times) and R1D (2
times) from the poplar plywood. After cutting, then polish with an abrasive paper the contour of the parts if
necessary.
Reinforcements R1C and R1D are glued with white glue according to Figure 1 with the root rib R1B L or
R1B R. For precise positioning, the 3 mm GFK shear force bolts can be inserted through the components.
Now it's time to assemble the front pressure bar R1-1 with the two GFK straps. These tabs serve for later
surface protection. Again, a distinction is made between the left and the right side (see picture above). The
GFK parts are inserted into the provided recesses and fixed with thin superglue. It is best to do this step on a
plastic bag to prevent the components from sticking to the workbench.
After this step, the components R1-1 RH are glued with R1-1 RV and R1-1 LV with R1-1 LH with white
glue. For understanding, the letter combination RV = right front etc. Make sure that the components are
glued together flush and here no offset arises, as this could lead to problems in the next steps.
We have to pay a bit more attention to the next step. It is about the production of the wing joiner tube. This
consists of the parts S1, S2, the CFK square rod 10 x 2 mm and the 4 jaw strips 5 x 2 x 100 mm.
To avoid too tight connection - stick a layer of tape on one side of the GFK square rod.
With the cutter, the protruding part is separated along the longitudinal direction of the Carbon rod.
