Cautions relating to the operating
environment
• Do not leave the product where it
will be subject to high temperatures
and/or humidity such as in a car
parked in direct sunlight or at the
seashore in summer.
• Do not store the product in a humid
or dusty place.
• If the product gets wet, immediately
wipe water off with a dry cloth.
Especially avoid salt.
• Do not use organic solvent such as
alcohol or thinner for cleaning.
• Do not place the product on or near
a television set, refrigerator, or other
electric appliance.
• Ensure that no sand or mud gets
on the product. Sand or mud may
cause irreparable damage.
• Do not apply strong vibration or
shock to the product.
• Do not use the product where it will get
wet.

as bank card) near the speaker or
headphones. Data recorded in the
magnetic card may be damaged.
• When installing a tripod, rotate the
screws on the tripod rather than the
recorder.
Notes on data loss:
• Data recorded in the memory
could be damaged or erased due
to a wrong operation, device
failure, repair or other cause. It is
recommended to save important
data in the hard disk of your PC or
other media for backup.
• Olympus bears no liability for any
damage or lost earnings incurred
by data loss due to a failure, repair
by a third party not certified by
Olympus, or other reason.
