Pots and Pans
• In principle all pots and pans with magnetic bases
are suitable. These are steel, steel-enamel as well
as cast-iron pots and pans.
• Stainless steel pots with metal mixture bases
(sandwiches basis e.g. Tefal with aluminium /
copper base) are only suitable for induction if the
manufacturer expressly specifies this. In that case
they have a ferromagnetic percentage in the
base. If you want to use a pan with a non-stick
coating (for example with a Teflon coating) so as
to cook without fats, do not select the booster
function "P" for this pan.
• Pots and pans made of aluminium, copper, brass,
stainless steel (unless specifically stated as being
suitable for induction), glass, ceramics or porce-
lain are not suitable for induction cooking fields.
The cooking zone behaves as if it was operated
without pans and the symbol
display.
Look for the label: Suitable for induction!
Lift up the pans if you want to move them so that the
drips do not leave any traces or even scratches.

Suitability test
If you are not sure whether a pot / pan is suitable for
cooking / frying on the induction cooking zone, you
can check it as follows:
• Place a pot filled with a little water (3-5 mm filling
height) on the cooking zone.
Switch the cooking zone to full power (switch set-
ting 9).
Caution: The pan base of suitable kitchenware
heats up within a few seconds!
• You can also check this with a magnet. If it sticks
to the base, the vessel is suitable for the induc-
tion cooking zone.
Pan size
It is basically possible to use a pan which is smaller
than the cooking zone marked on the glass ceramic
surface. However, the pan base diameter must be of
a minimum size, depending on the cooking zone
size.
Nevertheless, so as to avoid energy losses, we rec-
ommend that you use pans, the base diameter of
which correspond to the diameter of the induction
cooking zone.
Note:
Please pay attention to the pan base diameter when
buying it, as the pan manufacturer mostly states the
upper edge diameter. For example:
