Freezing an image - Still image

Press either 411 or II1_ to display a still image,

•

A still image can also be displayed with II.

Displaying image frame by frame - Frame advance

While a still image is displayed, press either _111 or II1_.

Each press reverses

one frame.

Press and hold for continuous frame advance.

Multi-speed playback by varying the play-

back speed and direction (CAV standard play

disc only)

The first press of either MULTI SPEED 4 or I_ changes the play-

back speed to 1/8 the normal speed. Further pressing of the same

button chan£es the playback speed as shown below.

In case a still image appears automatically

during playback:

Some discs contain

special recorded

signals called picture

stop

codes. When playing such a disc, you can continue playback with-

out displaying

still images on the positions

where

picture

stop

codes are recorded by pressing and holding I_ on the front panel

for more than 2 seconds to activate the picture stop cancel func-

tion. On-screen display "PSC ON" is displayed for a few seconds

when this function

is activated. To cancel this function,

press and

hold _ for more than 2 seconds until "PSC OFF" is disDlayed on

the screen for a few seconds.
