Connecting External Devices
You can enjoy picture and sound by connecting a VCR or a home video game system to the terminals located on the rear of
the main unit.
When connecting an external device, turn off the POWER of the main unit first to prevent any possible damage.
Example of External Devices that can be Connected
To INPUT4/OUTPUT terminal

ANote:
• For the cable, use a commercially available audio/video cable.
• Only connect audio/video signals to INPUT3 and INPUT4/OUTPUT terminals. Connecting other signals may result in a malfunction.
• INPUT3 has 2 video input terminals: VIDEO and S-VIDEO. When you connect external devices to both terminals (and if you select
INPUT3), you can only view pictures from the S-VIDEO terminal. To view the picture from the VIDEO terminal, do not connect any
external device to the S-VIDEO terminal.
• For more information about external device connections, see the manuals of your external devices.
Outputting Video and Audio (Video Output)
You can output video and audio signals from the LCD TV set through the INPUT4/OUTPUT terminal.
• When using INPUT4/OUTPUT as an output terminal, select "SETUP" in the Menu screen and set "INPUT4 SELECT" to
"OUT". (See page 24.)
• The factory setting for "INPUT4 SELECT" is "IN".

• When using the S-VIDEO input for INPUT3, or COMPONENT input for INPUT1 and 2, no video signal will be made to the INPUT4/OUTPUT
terminal, but audio signal will be made for connection to external audio systems.
